Impact-rated lenses with side protection, either a wraparound frame or clip-on side shields. Look for the CSA Z94.3 mark, an anti-fog coating and an anti-scratch coating - clear lenses for indoors, tinted for outside. Buy more than one pair; they scratch and they get lost.
Buying tip
Buy several - they scratch and vanish. Anti-fog coating is worth it in winter.
