A knit nylon or polyester liner dipped in nitrile or polyurethane across the palm and fingers. A thin coating keeps dexterity for fasteners and layout; a thicker one grips rough or wet material. Sold cheaply by the dozen, and worth buying that way, because the coating wears through at the fingertips first.

Nitrile-coated palms give grip without losing dexterity. Buy a multi-pack — they wear out fast.
